Saxenda Appetite Suppressant Injections UK – By Prescription Online
CJA Lifestyle Can Help You Lose Weight Fast
CJA Lifestyle provides long-lasting, impressive results, with individuals losing weight and keeping it off with our weight loss and weight maintenance plan.
The CJA Lifestyle Plan is aimed at patients with a BMI of 30 or more with at least one weight-related issue such as high blood pressure, type two diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood triglycerides.
Our qualified UK doctors will develop a program to help you achieve your goals through improved diet, increased physical activity, improved sleep quality and looking at your mindset when it comes to food. To kick-start your plan, you may be prescribed Saxenda® (liraglutide) which is MHRA* licensed for treating people struggling with their weight.
*The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is an executive agency of the Department of Health and Social Care in the UK which is responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work and are acceptably safe.
How Does Saxenda Work?
As part of your weight loss and lifestyle journey, your CJA Lifestyle doctor may prescribe Saxenda which is a once-daily, self-injectable medicine that comes in a prefilled pen.
Saxenda works by helping the pancreas to release the right amount of insulin when blood sugar levels are high. It suppresses your appetite to help maintain weight loss by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone (GLP-1) which makes us feel “full”.
You should take your medicine each day at any time that is convenient for you, with or without food.
How Do I Take Saxenda?
Saxenda is taken via a self-administered daily injection, using a special pen.
You will be shown how to give yourself the injection, which is administered under the skin, rather than into a vein or muscle.
Is Saxenda Safe?
Numerous clinical tests and trials have shown Saxenda to be a safe and effective weight-loss solution. It has been fully licensed for use in the UK in its current form since 2017.
You should only use Saxenda when prescribed by a qualified doctor such as those at CJA Lifestyle, following tests to check your liver & kidney functions will support the use of the weight loss injection. As with any drug, you may experience side effects and contraindications (it may not be suitable for all) and these will be fully explained to you by one of our CJA Lifestyle medical professionals.
How Much Do Saxenda Weight Injections Cost?
We believe that weight loss should be affordable for everyone, which is why we keep our prices for Saxenda as low as possible.
However, your first step is to book in for a consultation which costs £100. During your consultation we will explain the process and answer all your questions.
If you decide to go ahead, and your suitability for the CJA Lifestyle Plan is confirmed, you may be prescribed the appropriate number of medical treatments and be given a bespoke nutritious meal plan, exercise plan and general help and advice. Your fee includes access to our doctors for support and advice throughout your weight loss journey.
Is Saxenda Suitable for Everyone?
Saxenda is not suitable for pregnant or breast feeding women, those with stomach problems or if you have or have had problems with your pancreas, kidneys or liver.
The CJA Lifestyle Plan is ideal for patients with a BMI greater than of 30 or, if you have a weight-related illness, greater than 27. Weight related illnesses include high blood pressure, type two diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood triglycerides. We treat each person as an individual and will carry out a medical assessment before designing a bespoke plan for you.
Will I Experience Any Side Effects While Taking Saxenda ?
Your CJA Lifestyle doctor will monitor your progress while taking the Saxenda medication so it is important you let us know if you experience any side effects. Some patients experience nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation and gas which is usually transient and passes within a couple of days. Our doctors will discuss all possible side effects during your initial consultation.
Will I Need to Change My Diet When Using Saxenda?
As with all hunger suppressing options, your diet is essential to real and sustained weight loss. Regular Saxenda injections will kick start weight loss, but a caloric deficit is the key to loss. You may lose calories from reducing your food intake throughout the day, through exercise or, for a greater weight loss, both.
To lose 1lb per week, it is recommended that you “lose” 3500 calories each week. This equates to 500 calories per day, whether you lose this through a reduction in calories in or through exercise, this is a good rule to follow. By following our doctor-led weight loss programme, the CJA Lifestyle Plan, we can equip you with the knowledge required to lose weight and keep it off, including the importance of wellness and good sleeping patterns too.
